The European Climate Change Adaptation (ECCA) Conference has launched a new call for proposal, the call is open for the upcoming new edition to be held in Dublin June 19-21, 2023. ECCA is the most important European event on the topic of adaptation and this year is organized by JPI Climate, together with the MAGICA project coordinated by CMCC. The event will be hosting up to 500 people, with live streaming of all plenary sessions and interactive hybrid formats sessions.
The Conference will be showcasing initiatives that connect climate adaptation practitioners with science. The call is focused on abstracts for solutions and innovative projects, fostering the interaction between science and practical uptake of information, and implementing them into actions. The call will accept posters, creative art content and interactive content.
Proposals should be centered around one of the six conference themes:
- Stepping up Climate Action: Support through Climate Platforms and Services;
- Adaptation Responses to Sea Level Rise and Coastal Change;
- Nature-Based solutions for Climate Change Adaptation;
- Preparing for More Frequent and Severe Climate Extremes;
- Reframing Societal Transformation by Challenging Underlying Assumptions;
- Climate and Social Resilience of Future Energy Infrastructure and Systems
