With the fifth and final event dedicated to the theme of Adriatic’s marine and coastal environments sustainable use, the first cycle of awareness-raising events in the Torre Guaceto Reserve ended.
SEALAB focused on the value and the importance of seas and oceans for life on earth and both living beings and ecosystems survival. The workshop held by Dr. Rita Lecci of the CMCC Foundation – Euro-Mediterranean Centre on Climate Change was centred on the analysis of climate and its interactions with humans, and the necessary models to ensure sustainable growth, protect the environment and develop adaptation and mitigation policies based on scientific knowledge.
The event is realized by the Apulia Region in the framework of the CASCADE project – “CoAStal and marine waters integrated monitoring systems for ecosystems proteCtion AnD management” funded by the Interreg V-A Italy-Croatia Cooperation Programme 2014-2020.
